Stern Review
Reinvigorating international response to climate change is one of the priorities of the UK's foreign policy. The UK itself has committed to ambitious domestic targets which demonstrates its determination to be a leading player in tackling climate change.
The Stern Review (www.sternreview.org.uk) is a milestone study commissioned by the UK government to assess the economic impacts of climate change. Since its publishing in October 2006, UK diplomatic posts have been actively disseminating its findings among economists and economic decision-makers all over the world, in order to alert them to the factors which will determine the future of the world's economy, and to induce an early response to avoid the worst scenario and to grab the opportunities offered for early actors.
