Climate Act Seminar (14/10/2009)
The British Embassy and the Hungarian National Council for Sustainable Development (NFFT) held a seminar at the Hungarian Parliament on 13 October on the UK experiences in developing and implementing the world's first ever Climate Act.
NFFT was tasked by the Hungarian Parliament in June 2009 to draft the Hungarian climate law. The plan is to submit the first draft in February 2010. Hungarian and UK experts continue to work together to inform the drafting process as well as to encourage and assist other countries to develop similar comprehensive policy framework adapted to their circumstances.
